Şeydanur ABUAISHA, completed her undergraduate education as a high honor student at Istanbul Gelişim University, Department of Psychology (English). She continues her master's degree at the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Education at Istanbul University. Within the scope of the thesis, she works with individuals diagnosed with GIS cancer and examines the disease perception and psychological distress (anxiety, depression, stress) in Leventhal's self-regulation model within and between each group, in the sub-dimensions of gender and personality traits.
During her master's degree, she had the opportunity to work with individuals with cancer at Istanbul University (Çapa) Faculty of Medicine, Oncology Institute. Short-Term Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Counseling and Cognitive Behavioral therapy are among the trainings she completed during this period.
She actively participates in group psychotherapy at Istanbul University Department of Social Psychiatry. She has completed I. and II. level of EMDR training and gone through the supervision process.
She conducts his sessions in Turkish and English optionally.
Areas of work: Anxiety disorders, stress management, depression, trauma, loss and grief, pain and symptom management, and treatment compliance in adults with medical conditions and their relatives are the main areas of study.
